Meet our handsome Linc!
Linc is a 4-month-old Basset Hound and Terrier blend and weighs approximately 18 pounds.
Linc, his mom, and littermates arrived at our rescue from a Laredo kill shelter. They were starving, dehydrated, and anemic. They also were infested with fleas, intestinal parasites, and suffering from skin infections.
Prior to his arrival, Linc most likely was physically abused. He was terrified of the world and would freeze if anyone tried to pet him and engage in submissive urination.
His ideal owner will have experience with shy and abused dogs. His owner should be patient with Linc’s housebreaking and socialization and allow Linc to set the pace. He is sensitive to correction and will retreat under the bed but will reappear once he realizes he will not be harmed.
Despite his prior treatment, Linc is very playful and has blossomed in his foster home. He is highly intelligent and a quick learner. He loves other dogs and his ideal home would have other friendly and playful dogs. He now actively seeks out affection and loves belly rubs! And he is very food motivated and has learned the sit command.
Please understand you are commiting to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more).
You must also be committed to housebreaking, age-appropiate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most young dogs, he will chew on anything within her reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, etc.
His adoption fee is $150. This includes his neuter surgery, DhPPv vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, one month of flea and heartworm preventative, microchip, leash and collar, Petco coupon book, and 30-days of pet health insurance.

Our adoption events are held each Saturday in north San Antonio at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.
